Starting Transana – Professional and Basic* Versions
This ScreenCast describes how to start Transana, how to create a new database, and how to do first-use configuration. It is applicable Transana 3 Professional and Transana 3 Basic, but does not include some details important to Multiuser Transana 3 or Transana 3 for Computer Labs. (4:22, Transana 3.00 shown).
*Prior to Transana 3.1, Transana Basic was called Transana Standard. That terminology may be used in these ScreenCasts.

Batch Episode Creation
This “advanced” ScreenCast shows how to bring an entire Library’s worth of media files into Transana in a single action. It also describes the steps necessary to import existing transcripts at the same time, if you already have transcripts of your media files. (5:45, Transana 2.50 release shown)
Please note that this ScreenCast is a bit out of date, although the content is still useful. There are two issues worth mentioning.
First, this ScreenCast uses the old “Series” terminology instead of the new “Library” terminology.
Second, Transana 2.61 introduced a Batch Snapshot Creation tool (in the Collection menu) and Transana 3.00 added a Batch Document Creation tool (in the Library menu) that work in very similar ways to the Batch Episode Creation tool described here.
Adding Multiple Simultaneous Media Files to Transana
How to add multiple video file for use with Transana’s Multiple Simultaneous Media File feature.* (8:13, Transana Professional 3.20 pre-release version shown)
