ADDITIONAL TABS IN THE DATA WINDOW

Additional Tabs in the Data Window

The Data Window does more than show you the Database Tree, where all of your data in Transana is organized and available for analytic modification. The Data Window shows additional information about whatever the data item was most recently selected. Different information is displayed, depending on the type of data being shown.

When a video or audio Episode is selected, the Data Window displays three additional tabs.

The Episode Items tab displays information from all Clips created from that Episode. If you double-click the Clip’s Time, that Clip’s selection will be highlighted in the Transcript. If you double-click the Clip ID, the Clip will be loaded into Transana’s main interface.

The Selected Items tab displays information from all Clips created from the currently selected position in that Episode.

The Keywords tab displays a list of all Keywords that have been applied as default Keywords to the Episode. You can edit the list of Episode default Keywords by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on macOS) in the window and choosing Edit from the popup menu. You can delete an Episode Default Keyword by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on macOS) a Keyword in the list and selecting Delete from the menu.

When a video or audio Clip is selected, the Data Window displays one additional tab.

The Keywords tab displays a list of all Keywords that have been applied as to the Clip. You can edit the list of Keywords by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on macOS) in the window and choosing Edit from the popup menu. You can delete a Keyword by right-clicking (ctrl-clicking on macOS) a Keyword in the list and selecting Delete from the menu.
