The more they change, the more they stay the same

Yesterday was a big day for me. For me, the change is huge.

For the past 15 years, I’ve developed Transana with the support of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. Starting today, Transana is now being developed through Spurgeon Woods LLC instead. This is a big change for me.

It is not, however, going to be much of a change for anyone else. I will continue to develop Transana, and have several exciting new features in the works for Transana 3.10. I will continue to sell Transana through the transana.com web site. If you bought Transana through WCER, you can still get the full-credit (for a year) or discounted (for two additional years) upgrades you are entitled to.

For most Transana users, the biggest change will be in the e-mail address they use contact me. You can reach me at dwoods (at) transana.com rather than dwoods (at) wcer.wisc.edu. I’ve also added support (at) transana.com for support requests and sales (at) transana.com for issues related to purchasing Transana and related services. That’s about the only real change most users should see.

So the more things change (for me), the more they stay the same (for you). It’s going to be an adventure.
