New to Transana?

If you are new to Transana, here are some suggestions of ways to familiarize yourself with the program.

You can get an overview of what Transana does and how one can approach the analysis of video by looking at the Transana guided tour. In addition, the documentation page has links for a number of ScreenCasts, which are Flash movies that demonstrate several aspects of how to work with Transana.

Once you've installed the Transana Demonstration version, go to the Help menu and select "Tutoral". This document, in conjuction with the demo video, walks you through many of the steps involved in analyzing a sample video with Transana.

If you run into difficulties, please take a look at the Transana FAQ. If you have difficulty getting your particular video or audio files working with Transana, there are several articles about working with video on the documentation page.
